There are just three accepted records of Garganey, all from Essex County. Veit and Petersen (1993) include two additional occurrences: a subadult male at Parker River NWR May 11 to July 1, 1985, and one at Daniel Webster Wildlife Sanctuary, Marshfield, Plymouth County, April 1–18, 1978. These two records have yet to receive a formal vote by the MARC.
