Fulvous Whistling-Duck is a widespread, cosmopolitan duck. In the New World, it is found throughout much of northern and eastern South America (south to N. Argentina), is absent from much of Central America, but found throughout much of coastal Mexico into extreme southern California, Texas and Louisiana. It is also found in parts of the Caribbean and into southern Florida.
